Spicecast: Local Orbit
Local Orbit has been on the North Alabama Music scene for 16 years. Over that time the band has gone through may mutations but current members, Anthony, Scott, Wes, and Gouza are still dishing out their signature hard rock, punk sound, served up with plenty of attitude.
The band did a live set at Spice Rack Studios featuring four new tracks, I Wanna Be An Astronaut, Mouse, Outta Town Enemies, and Starduster that will be on their upcoming album!

Also the origins of the Falcon’s Roost house shows, the guys talk all about running live shows, some interesting tales from their midwest tour and tips on dealing with authority. Aaron Hoffman AKA Atwist Beats featured in the Rootsy Hip Documentary filmed in Mobile Al. You have probably seen Rick live at one time or another if you’ve been in Huntsville long. His band Tuxedo Junction has been performing in Huntsville for over 20 Years. His new project The Nashville Swing Revue wraps up his varied musical experience providing swing music spanning the nation from West to East.
Izzy Miller of Huntsville band Storage fame came by to debut some new tracks off his new album Commercially Inept. We get down and dirty with Izzy on the inspiration for country music, changes in the industry and how solo work differs from band production.
Look out for his new CD hitting Amazon and Itunes November 11. We hear “Rapid Decline” and “Rekindle the Light” straight off the new album and Izzy was kind enough to punch out two more tunes live, “I Forgot to Get Drunk” and “You Don’t Have to Fall in Love Like This”. You heard it on Spice Radio!
Defeated Eden has been making music since 2009, jamming to artists like Tool and Chevelle the band saw it’s first incarnation in Albertville, AL. Since then the band has put out two albums, their newest Prodigal is available on bandcamp. Defeated Eden pulls inspiration from funk, metal and punk to get a slammin’ hard rock sounds with a strong message behind it. Yes I said SLAMMIN’!

Let us introduce you to Evan Rollet, originally from Michigan, Evan has been making comedy with his music from the age of 16. You can hear Evan and his Ukulele at the Foyer and the End-Zone open mics. Evan’s style is one part crass vaudeville and one part playful gagster. Evan has three original songs for us including “I’ll Never Make It Big”, “Oh Nintendo” and “Not Funny”.

Hey guys, yes we’re still here! After some health crises and hang ups we’re back on pace getting everything straightened out for getting Huntsville some true variety and community on the digi-waves.
Now I’ll have you know that Spice Radio is no joke, but our style definitely isn’t serious! We’ve got our first wacky radio spots recorded and we’re grinding down the rough edges now. We’ll be posting our audio to the main website as soon as they’re done! The internet stream is still going out sporadically for testing while we work on keeping our content legit!
