Local Orbit has been on the North Alabama Music scene for 16 years. Over that time the band has gone through may mutations but current members, Anthony, Scott, Wes, and Gouza are still dishing out their signature hard rock, punk sound, served up with plenty of attitude.

Madison artist Float first picked up the can in Amsterdam to do his first Graffiti pieces. Now he’s on the other side of the fence and turned to mixed media of all types. Floats art combines strong colors, distinct contrast and iconography all inspired by his love for street art.
Float’s art table can be found all sorts of places, from the Huntsville Library, a variety of pop conventions and holiday markets around the valley. We talk to Float about his journey from street art to adapting his style to find a place inside the buildings he used to tag.

Len Bullard and Rick van Nostrand first chance meeting at a bank brought them together for a long lasting creation of music as a band first with JumpStreet. Now together as Dawghaus they bring Len’s talent of songwriting together with Rick’s vocals and instrumentation.
We hear Len Bullard on Guitar, Curtis Zimmerman on String Bass and Ben Jobe sitting in on Drums with “Morenita Do Brazil”, “Hey Bus Driver” and “Why Do Babies Love the Beatles?”
Let me tell you guys something cool that happened recently. Josh Allison a long time musician of the Huntsville Area needed help getting his first EP of all original music off the ground. We were lucky enough to interview him at Spice Radio!
Using KickStarter Josh Allison raised all the funds he needed within a matter of weeks. Because of the amazing support of his fans he’ll be debuting his brand new CD this Saturday at MVP Spirits and Grill 8pm-10pm.

A Very Spicy Christmas
A true Christmas miracle, Wanda Wesolowski, showed up to finish out our year right with a brand new Christmas single, written this very day! You may remember Wanda from our second show where she showcased some of her original music. We were so happy to have Wanda back for the holidays!
Wanda is back for another Wandaful time. Returning from her studies in Montevallo, Wanda is back on her feet with a brand new Christmas Single and some tracks from her previously released Christmas Album “A Wandaful Christmas”.
In a very special family edition of Spice Radio Interviews long time musician of Huntsville Rick Jobe drops by with his new album. Now working and residing in Nashville Tennessee his CD titled: “The Wonderin’ Cowboys” is chocked full of Western Swing and originals featuring players from Huntsville and Nashville.
You have probably seen Rick live at one time or another if you’ve been in Huntsville long. His band Tuxedo Junction has been performing in Huntsville for over 20 Years. His new project The Nashville Swing Revue wraps up his varied musical experience providing swing music spanning the nation from West to East.
Izzy Miller of Huntsville band Storage fame came by to debut some new tracks off his new album Commercially Inept. We get down and dirty with Izzy on the inspiration for country music, changes in the industry and how solo work differs from band production.

Defeated Eden has been making music since 2009, jamming to artists like Tool and Chevelle the band saw it’s first incarnation in Albertville, AL. Since then the band has put out two albums, their newest Prodigal is available on bandcamp. Defeated Eden pulls inspiration from funk, metal and punk to get a slammin’ hard rock sounds with a strong message behind it. Yes I said SLAMMIN’!

Let us introduce you to Evan Rollet, originally from Michigan, Evan has been making comedy with his music from the age of 16. You can hear Evan and his Ukulele at the Foyer and the End-Zone open mics. Evan’s style is one part crass vaudeville and one part playful gagster. Evan has three original songs for us including “I’ll Never Make It Big”, “Oh Nintendo” and “Not Funny”.
